Blacktop softens when it is heated. During the next several years, the blacktop on your driveway will soften on hot days. Because of this, you should avoid turning the wheels of your vehicle while it is sitting still on the driveway. This will prevent unnecessary marking of your new driveway.
Avoid parking your car in the same spot on your new driveway for the first 6-12 months.
You can avoid scarring your new driveway by starting and stopping your car slowly. Never turn the wheels of your car while it is not moving.
